Lord Of The Drinks Barrel House is yet another feather in the cap of entrepreneur/restaurateur Priyank Sukhija. The brand has already run successfully in four other locations in Delhi and this being the fifth one has more feature with a rustic ambiance.
The first thing you will notice is the size of the property, because it’s huge, like all the other property of Priyank. He certainly knows how to go big.
BentChair Interiors designed the theme of the restaurant. The classic leather chairs, comfy couches, vintage chandelier and a whole lot of woodwork give it a warm vibe.
Let’s begin with the things which really differentiate accustomed to prodigious, yes, I am talking about the food and drinks which really matter to people.
Drinks @ Lord Of The Drinks Barrel House
The mixologist here is well versed with the tips and tricks of bartending. It was a pleasure to see the skill of mixologist in mixing various cocktails and mocktails.
Butter Beer – The first thing anyone tries at Lord Of The Drinks Barrel House is Butterbeer, it’s a modified and alcoholic incarnation of the wizard world butterbeer(if you are a Harry Potter fan, you know what I am talking about). The fun part of the drink is its gas cylinder style of serving. Butterbeer recipe.
White Rusian – Vodka based drink, with Cream and Baileys.
Smoke Sangria – Redwine sangria with nitrogen smoke.
Vodkatini – A reprise Martini with some magical cloud around it.
Dry Martini – Martini with James Bond way, dry, shaken not stirred
Food @ Lord Of The Drinks Barrel House
The food at LOTD is as good as its drinks, the Chef has done a great job in curating a truly international menu with an Indian heart. Some of the things which I tried are –
Chicken Tart – Crispy crust tart base loaded with chicken and cheese, enough to fill your mouth with flavors
Chicken Galauti Tacos – It’s and amalgamation of Galauti kebab and Tacos, served with sour cream and fresh salsa
Cheese Nachos – Crispy nachos loaded with cheese and sour cream
Veg – Momos(Dimsum) – Traditional momos, the presentation made us awe-struck
Pizza – Thin crust pizza with handmade in-house dough
Veg & Non-Veg Platter – The platter portion is designed to serve two people with maximum dish coverage
Fried Prawns – The prawns were rolled in thin potato strips. It was crispy outside and juicy inside. The flavor of prawn was intact.
Sole Fish – This one I liked the most. The fish was perfectly cooked and served with couscous and grilled vegetables.
My two cents – I find this place amazing for a hangout, with good food and equally great drinks. The micro-brewery is not yet started so it gives me another reason to visit LODT.
