A friend suggested Tashan for dinner so came here on Friday. The ambiance is aesthetics and quite to support the fine dine experience in dim lights.

Eggplant Chat – I was astonished to see that eggplant can be so delicious and yummy. The eggplant was deep fried and crispy, topped with tamarind and green chilly chutney(sauce) and yogurt. The garnishing was of pomegranate and coriander.
Mushroom Galauti – This is a great option for my vegan friends. The texture was soft, melting in mouth and spicy in taste.
Chicken Tikka – Thyme flavored and slowly cooked on charcoal grill.
Mutton Taco – is a show stopper. Appam(Indian Pancake) is used as a taco base and spicy minced mutton used for filling. There were four sauce namely – Cheese Fondue, Sour Cream, Coconut Chutney & Tomato Salsa to enhance the flavor.
Chettinad Chicken – It’s a famous south Indian chicken curry flavored with Chettinad spices(star aniseed, lichen, tamarind, chilies, fennel seed, cinnamon, cloves, bay leaf, peppercorn, cumin seeds, fenugreek). Although this one was little bitter in taste
Paneer Hungama – Spice layered cottage cheese in onion & tomato gravy, the taste was slightly sweet because of tomatoes
Dal Makhani – was good in taste and creamy in texture as it should be.
Mutton Nali – was a show stopper. Good portion size to easily serve two with great presentation. The taste was simply fantastic.
Baileys Kulfi – 10/10 for taste, idea, and presentation.
Bhuni Roti ka Halwa – was a thought-provoking dish. At times simplicity has the best taste and presentation to offer.
Baked Yogurt – tasted like American cheesecake with blueberries. A thick and creamy texture and mild sweetness.
#whatmonksays – The food was good and served warm, service was prompt without any delay and the staff was courteous. The must haves are Eggplant Chat – Never thought that eggplant could be so delicious, Mutton Taco – This was surprise because the Taco shells were made of Appam and mince mutton filling was awesome with Cheese fondue/Sour Cream/Coconut Chutney & Salsa, Mutton Nali is a good option for mains with sufficient portion and tender succulent meat. I have a sweet tooth so for me anything sweet works but if you really wanna try, give a shot to Bhuni Roti ka Halwa and Baileys Kulfi.
